
Pakistan and China have signed three new memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to strengthen cooperation in key industrial and public welfare sectors. The agreements cover livestock development, textile manufacturing, and emergency fire services. President Asif Ali Zardari witnessed the signing during his ongoing visit to China.
The first MoU, signed between Loyang Modern Biotechnologies and the Sindh government, focuses on modernizing Pakistan’s livestock sector. Sindh Minister Nasir Shah represented the province. The project aims to enhance food security and improve rural employment through modern techniques in animal farming.

The second agreement, between Beijing Asian Africa Longyue and ASM Services, will help establish a modern textile industrial park in Pakistan. This project aims to support industrial expansion and boost export competitiveness by promoting advanced textile production and infrastructure.
The third MoU, signed by Sichuan Chuanxiao Fire Trucks Manufacturing Company and ASM Services, provides a framework for supplying fire trucks and emergency equipment to Pakistan. This partnership is expected to improve disaster response and enhance the country’s emergency preparedness.

President Zardari welcomed the agreements, calling them essential for Pakistan’s economic growth. He highlighted their role in boosting food security, industrial development, and public safety. The president later traveled to Kashgar, the final leg of his China visit, where he was formally seen off by Xinjiang’s vice governor.
