The Asia Cup 2025 officially began with a grand trophy unveiling ceremony in Dubai. All team captains attended the event, signaling excitement and readiness for the tournament. Asian Cricket Council President Mohsin Naqvi revealed the trophy amid a lively media presence. A handshake between Pakistan and India’s captains drew special attention from the crowd and cameras.

During the press conference, captains from all teams shared their thoughts and expectations. Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha said his team is fully prepared and excited for the challenge. Salman also commented on the much-anticipated Pakistan vs. India match, saying there are no special instructions—just to stay focused and play their best. He highlighted the team’s experience playing in UAE conditions, especially during PSL, and emphasized setting a strong example with performance.

India’s captain, Suryakumar Yadav, also expressed excitement. He noted that in T20 format, any team can surprise with exceptional performance. He praised Afghanistan’s growth and said emotions and passion play a big role in T20 cricket. “We are ready and focused,” he added.

Captains from Afghanistan, UAE, Oman, and Bangladesh echoed similar enthusiasm. Rashid Khan said his team will give 100% and wants to win a major tournament. UAE captain Muhammad Waseem said his players gained confidence after facing top players in ILT20. Oman’s captain called it a historic moment, while Bangladesh’s skipper said recent wins gave them belief. All agreed: strong performances are key to progress in this tightly contested tournament.
