Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs revived 6th Sept spirit, PAF vows 60–0 next

Published on: September 6, 2025 11:54 AM

KARACHI: Air Vice Marshal Shehryar Khan said Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs revived the spirit of 6th September. He declared that next time, the score will not be 6–0 but 60–0.

Speaking as the chief guest at the guard-changing ceremony at Mazar-e-Quaid, he said taking over guard duties at the mausoleum is a great honor for the Pakistan Air Force Academy Asghar Khan. He added that 6th September reminds the nation of the day Pakistan crushed the enemy’s ambitions.

He stressed that the Pakistan Air Force stands ready on every front. “Our enemies have always been humbled,” he said, noting that the PAF has never disappointed the nation. He added that the air force takes pride in serving during both war and peace, and continues to uphold the hopes of the people.

Air Vice Marshal Shehryar Khan also said that Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs proved the strength of Pakistan’s defense. He assured the nation that Pakistan’s airspace is secure in the strong hands of the air force. Highlighting technological progress, he noted that innovation has earned the PAF recognition worldwide.

Across the country, Defence and Martyrs Day is being observed with national spirit. The day began with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and 21-gun salutes in provincial capitals. Special prayers were offered after Fajr for Pakistan’s peace and prosperity. Earlier this year, in May, Pakistan’s armed forces humbled Indian aggression, downing advanced Rafale jets, destroying several warplanes, and targeting multiple airfields.
