Umar Ahsan Khan, CEO of Dawlance, met with the Ambassador of Türkiye to discuss strengthening bilateral economic relations and exploring investment opportunities.
The meeting emphasized the deep historical ties between Pakistan and Türkiye and highlighted the potential for increased cooperation in trade and investment sectors. Umar Khan shared that since Dawlance became a part of Beko, the company has achieved significant milestones over the past nine years in Pakistan, including notable local value addition, retail innovation, technology transfer, and long-term strategic planning in the market.
Both parties acknowledged that while progress has been made, bilateral trade has not yet reached its full potential. They agreed that deeper and mutually beneficial economic engagement is essential to unlock this opportunity. Umar Khan stated that Dawlance and Beko are among the largest Turkish investors in Pakistan and serve as a reliable bridge for attracting further investment from Türkiye. However, he emphasized the need to resolve operational challenges to promote further investment and growth.
The Turkish Ambassador appreciated the contributions of Dawlance and Beko to Pakistan’s economy and reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to strengthening trade and investment relations between the two countries.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to further enhance this strategic economic partnership.
