Veteran actor Nauman Ijaz has expressed deep sorrow and disappointment over the widespread circulation of disturbing images and videos of late actress and model Humaira Asghar, following news of her tragic death.
Earlier this week, a decomposed body was found in an apartment in Karachi’s Defence area. Authorities later identified the deceased as Humaira Asghar. Initial postmortem findings revealed that the body was between 8 to 10 months old — a discovery that shocked many across the country and left fans and peers heartbroken.
In the wake of the tragedy, unsettling photos and videos — including footage of her apartment and her body — have surfaced on social media, going viral within hours. These visuals, shared by some users and even individuals associated with emergency services, have drawn strong criticism from the public and celebrities alike.
Taking to Instagram, Nauman Ijaz wrote, “Please stop sharing Humaira Asghar Ali’s videos and photos. She spent her last months in pain, waiting to be found and given peace in her final resting place. Instead, you are adding to her suffering by circulating these images.”
Ijaz condemned the behavior of some individuals, saying he had personally seen a Chhipa ambulance driver filming and sharing video of the body. He questioned the growing insensitivity in society: “How heartless have we become? She can’t even speak for herself anymore. Please stop this madness and pray for her.”
The actor’s message resonated with many online, who echoed his call for compassion, dignity, and respect for the dead. His post has since gone viral, with thousands urging others to stop sharing graphic content and instead remember Humaira for her work and humanity.
