According to the PMD, isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall may lead to dangerous flash floods in local streams and nullahs across hilly areas such as Murree, Galliyat, Mansehra, Swat, and parts of Balochistan. There is also a high chance of landslides in vulnerable mountainous regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir, which could block roads and disrupt travel.
Urban flooding may occur in low-lying areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, and Peshawar. The department has advised citizens to take safety precautions, avoid unnecessary travel, and stay informed through official weather updates during this hazardous period.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts are likely to witness rain and thunderstorms, including Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Chitral, and Waziristan. Punjab will experience widespread rain, with heavy showers expected in Murree, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sargodha, Multan, and southern districts like Rahim Yar Khan and Dera Ghazi Khan.
Meanwhile, Sindh will remain mostly hot and humid, but some areas like Tharparkar, Thatta, and Sukkur may receive rain and thunderstorms. Light rain or drizzle may occur in Karachi and nearby coastal regions. In Balochistan, areas like Quetta, Zhob, and Khuzdar are also expected to receive heavy rainfall in some parts.
Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will see cloudy weather with intermittent showers. Isolated heavyfalls may occur in Kashmir, while Gilgit-Baltistan will experience partly cloudy skies with chances of rain. Authorities have been urged to stay alert and ensure readiness for emergency response if needed.
