Mohsin Naqvi extends wishes to U.S., praises Trump’s role in global peace

Published on: July 4, 2025 5:45 PM

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi extended warm congratulations to the American people and U.S. officials on the occasion of America’s 249th Independence Day. In his statement, he described the day as a powerful reminder of sacrifice, freedom, and democratic values. He emphasized that Pakistan joins the U.S. in celebrating the spirit of liberty and human dignity.

Naqvi addressed his message to the American public, Acting U.S. Ambassador Natalie Baker, and the diplomatic community, acknowledging their commitment to justice and peace. He stated that July 4th reflects courage, unity, and the will to uphold democracy around the world. His message carried hope for continued friendship and mutual understanding between Pakistan and the U.S.

Interestingly, the interior minister also praised U.S. President Donald Trump for what he described as a lasting impact on global peace and progress. “President Trump has played and is playing an exemplary role for lasting peace in the world,” Naqvi noted, applauding the former president’s diplomatic efforts during sensitive global issues.

He specifically highlighted Trump’s role during Pakistan-India tensions as an example of wise and balanced leadership. Naqvi credited Trump for encouraging stability in the region through a diplomatic approach that favored dialogue over confrontation. He further praised the luncheon hosted by Trump in honor of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the White House.

According to Naqvi, that event marked a new chapter in Pak-U.S. relations, strengthening cooperation during a time of rising regional challenges. He noted that such gestures helped lay a foundation of trust and mutual respect between the two countries.

Concluding his message, the minister expressed hope that the U.S. Independence Day would inspire global peace, freedom, and justice. He said Pakistan looks forward to deeper collaboration with the U.S. in the future, driven by shared values and strong diplomatic ties.
