Popular Indian singer Arijit Singh has postponed his upcoming concert in Abu Dhabi, originally scheduled for May 9, amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan. His team announced the decision through an official Instagram post on Thursday, citing recent regional developments as the reason.
The concert was set to take place at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island. However, due to the ongoing situation, Arijit’s team explained that it was a “difficult decision” made in the interest of safety and responsibility. They assured fans that a new date will be announced soon.
“All purchased tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled concert,” the statement read. “Fans who prefer not to wait can apply for a full refund within seven days, starting May 12, 2025.” The team expressed gratitude for fans’ continued support and understanding.
This announcement comes at a time of heightened military and diplomatic strain between India and Pakistan. Several public events and cross-border exchanges have been affected as the situation continues to evolve. The entertainment world, too, is beginning to feel the ripple effects of the regional unrest.
Despite the delay, Arijit’s team promised fans an unforgettable experience once the concert is rescheduled. “We look forward to creating beautiful memories with all of you very soon,” the statement concluded, reassuring fans that the show will go on when conditions improve.
