CDA to upgrade its complaint resolution system

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is developing a multipronged strategy to strengthen its complaint resolution mechanism, Islamabad Mayor and Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Shaikh Ansar Aziz said on Saturday.

He expressed these views while chairing a monthly review meeting of Mobile Complaint System. Senior officers of the CDA and the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), including CDA Administration Member Muhammad Yasir Peerzada attended the meeting.

“Initiation of the Mobile Complaint Service was an important concept. For the first time, residents of Islamabad have been provided with a facility to redress their complaints at their doorsteps. The Mobile Complaint Service has the potential to be the future identity of CDA,” the mayor said.

During the month of September, especially constituted mobile complaint van service teams conducted a survey in 630 houses and collected 10 water samples from various areas of the city. ‘Team A’ conducted the survey in sectors G-7/4, G-10/1, G-11/3, G-6/2, G-8/1, F-6/3, F-11/1, G-6/3, F-8/3, G-9/2, G-11/3, I-8/3, G-6/2, G-7/3, G-9/3, I-8/1, G-11;/2, I-9/1, F-11/2 and surveyed 301 houses. ‘Team B’ conducted surveyed 179 houses in sectors G-7/2, G-10/3, G-11/4, G-6/1, F-6/1, G-11/1, F-6/4, F-8/1, G-6/4, G-6/1-2, G-7/2, F-6/2, I-8/4, G-6/1-4, I-8/2, G-9/4, G-8/1, F-8/4 and G-7/4 and obtained seven water samples. During this period, ‘Team A’ collected three water samples.

Effective cleanliness system: “Cleanliness is manifestation of civilization. All religions, civilizations and schools of thought attach high value to cleanliness. Sanitation is imperative to lead healthy lives,” Mayor Shaikh Ansar Aziz said on Saturday. He expressed these views while chairing a monthly review meeting of Sanitation Directorate.

Senior Officers of the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), including Chief Metropolitan Officer Asad Mehboob Kyani and Director Sanitation Sardar Khan Zimri, attended the meeting.

“The present administration is promoting previously unripe sanitation system into a fully mature and vibrant system. Coverage area of the Sanitation Directorate is being expanded from sectors to the entire city. Innovative solutions to previous sanitation problems are on cords,” the mayor said.

The meeting was told that 154 complaints received during the month of September, 2017 regarding different issues pertaining to Sanitation Directorate and transmitted for early action.

The meeting was also informed that the complaints were processed for resolving issues of the residents of the city promptly and efficiently. During the month of September, 2017, out of 154 complaints regarding different issues pertaining to sanitation, 147 complaints were promptly resolved and five were under process for early disposal by the concerned formations. Moreover, complainants have also been informed about the status of their complaints.

Complaints were received from various areas including G-6/2, G-7/2, G-9/1, F-11/4, I-8/1, I-10/4, I-9/4, G-9/4, F-6/1, G-11/4, Alipur Farash, Shehzad Town, I-8/2, G-9/3, G-7/4, I-8/4, I-8/3, G-8/1, G-11/3, G-10/1, F-8/4, G-6/3, F-10/1, F-8/3, F-6/4, G-8/4, I-10/2, F-7/3, G-11/4, and other areas.
