The officers and soldiers of Armed Forces are the real heroes of Pakistan. This was stated by Chaudhry Aurangzaib, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Eithad, in a message on Pakistan Defence Day. Chaudhry Aurangzaib applauded the role of armed forces for always standing guard by the borders and inside the country. “Armed forces have always sacrificed for peace within the nation and internationally through UN peace keeping missions. They are the reason of our peaceful existence. Their sacrifices will always be remembered,” he said. Ch Aurangzaib said that in this time of chaos, all of Pakistan Army’s general officers have stepped up to donate their one month’s salary for the flood victims. He said the Army has assumed its role in aiding the civilians affected by the emergency. “Rescue and relief operations have been undertaken promptly, escalating efforts to get the affected to a stable condition without any delay. Be it any external aggression, subject of law, or threat of war, or natural calamities, Pakistan Army is known to rise to the occasion with a plan,” he added.
