Here’s good news for fans of Humayun Saeed. His television comeback serial ‘Dillagi’, which will mark his return to the small screen after a break of four years, is all set to go on air this month. The highly-anticipated promos of ‘Dillagi’ were unveiled at a press meet up in Karachi and are creating frenzy on social media.
Riding high on romance, emotions and drama, the impressive promos seem to be hitting all the right notes with the audience.
‘Dillagi’ brings together the successful team of director Nadeem Beyg, Six Sigma Plus Productions, ARY Digital and the popular on-screen pair of Saeed and Mehwish Hayat. The team worked together on 2015’s blockbuster hit movie ‘Jawani Phir Nahin Ani’. The serial also stars Saba Hamid, Uzma Hassan and Mariam Ansari. The serial has been written by Faiza Iftikhar, while the OST is a recreation of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s popular qawwali “Tumehin dillagi bhool jaani pare gi”, which has been sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
The serial will be airing on ARY Digital towards the end of this month.
Speaking about the response he has received for ‘Dillagi’ promos so far, Saeed said, “It feels great to have the audience wholeheartedly accepting a project we have worked so hard on. I chose to make my comeback on television with ‘Dillagi’ because the script was so strong and I knew Nadeem would execute it wonderfully. I am very happy that the audience is now liking the promos and looking forward to the serial.”
