ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has become active for investigation into the Panama Leaks. The PPP has constituted a four-member comprising Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah, Senator Aitzaz Ahsan, Saeed Ghani and Ejaz Jakhrani. The new formed committee would hold consultations on Panama Leaks and the prevailing political situation in Pakistan. The sources said that the committee would present proposal to the political parties for formation of parliamentary committee. In a statement, Khurshid said that his party has decided not to participate in the sit-in in Raiwind announced by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). He said that the party was going to hold consultations with other political parties and devise a strategy. Meanwhile, the PTI and the Qaumi Watan Party have agreed to form commission headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan to investigate into the disclosures by Panama Papers. This was announced here on Friday after a meeting between PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Qaumi Watan Party chief Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao at his residence.
