ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Secretary General and former Punjab governor Sardar Latif Khosa has said that his party would file a petition for the disqualification of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in case the united opposition does not reach any conclusion. PPP is not ready to give any concession to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the matter of Panama leaks, he told Daily Times on Sunday. “PPP will remain on the front lines on the issue of Panama leaks and will continue raising it inside as well as outside the parliament. Our preparation regarding filing petition against the PM is already complete,” he added. Khosa was of the view that the video of Dr Asim was got prepared and leaked by Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan. “Now he is saying that it is illegal to release the video but the entire saga was done under his own nose as Dr Asim is in the custody of an agency which works under him,” he said, and asked if the making of video is illicit, then why no action was taken against those involved in it. He said that release of Dr Asim’s video is an effort to divert attention from Panama leaks. Khosa said that PML-N is hell bent on going to any limit to save the skin of Sharif family. “Hence, no outcome of any probe into Panama leaks is likely.”
