Residents demand transfer of two FC, FIU officials

Published on: June 13, 2017 3:42 AM

KHYBER AGENCY: Residents have appealed to the high-ranking officials of the Frontier Corps (FC) to transfer Subedar Naveed and Federal Investigation Unit (FIU) employee Jamal, as they allegedly insult and misbehave with local residents at Bagyari Checkpost.

Speaking at a press conference here at the Landikotal Press Club on Monday Arif Shinwari and Hazrat Ameen Shinwari alleged that they were not allowed to cross the Bagyari checkpost as they tried to a rush a critical patient to the Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) in Peshawar.

Arif Shinwari added that their vehicle was stopped at the checkpost and Subedar Naveed of the FC along with an FIU official Jamal asked them for proof of identity upon which they presented their national identity cards and other valid documents. However, Arif continued that they were not permitted to take the patient to hospital. “The Tochi Scouts personnel at Bagyari check post were insisting us to go back which was a risk for the survival of the patient,” Arif said.

He added that Jamal used hard words and misbehaved with them. “We then requested the FC Subedar but he too did not listen to our pleas for allowing the patient to move forward,” Arif said.

Arif Shinwari and Hazrat Ameen Shinwari demanded of the Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC) Major General Shaheen Mazhar and Commandant Khyber Rifles Colonel Umar Farooq to transfer Subedar Naveed and Jamal and replace them with honest and honorable officials.
