HYDERABAD: Four Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) employees, including SDO Tando Muhammad Khan, were attacked by armed men. HESCO spokesman informed that their team was dispatched to take action against nine, illegally installed, electric poles in a nearby area but was attacked by a group of armed workers before they could cut off the connections. HESCO Operations SDO Tando Muhammad Khan registered a FIR against the attackers as his team was seriously injured and had to be rushed to a hospital for medical attention. Meanwhile, the spokesman said that such special teams have already removed 800 illegal connections in Hyderabad. The teams also removed six power transformers and recovered an amount of Rs 1.265million from defaulters in respect of the outstanding dues, the spokesman added.
