RINSTRA launched in Pakistan to cope with media crisis

Published on: August 18, 2020 1:58 AM

To cope with job insecurities in the media industry, a new platform ‘RINSTRA’ has been launched in Pakistan to create media entrepreneurship and encourage creativity and inspire imagination and sense of ownership towards the ideas and values that define Pakistan.

Chairman and Co-founder, Rinstra Technologies Dr. Adil Akhtar said, “this initiative was conceived and incubated by creative art and media. He said that we further developed it by inviting the key professionals in the Pakistani media industry, specializing in media management, news and entertainment content creation and production designs etc.”. We have opened the platform for content creators through our interactive site www.irinstra.com.

Dr. Adil Akhtar further said that this is a milestone for the media industry in Pakistan, as Rinstra will enable the true creativity of the people in the emerging technological era. A person with an idea or creative skill can now impact the narratives of the media on his or her own.

RINSTRA is Pakistan’s first short-form digital media platform for on-demand streaming and for creation of user generated original content on iRinstra. RINSTRA content is innovative, entertaining, thought-provoking, informative and educational.

RINSTRA provides entrepreneurship opportunities to emerging and established content creators and film makers in Pakistan and beyond.

Since the mission of RINSTRA is to provide economic, therefore, higher percentage of revenue will be shared with the artists as compared to the prevailing market rates by international platforms. The RINSTRA platform for public viewing will be launched in November this year.

A large Pakistani diaspora looks for content from Pakistan which can cater the aspirations and values of the Pakistanis within and outside of the country. The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs ranks Pakistan as the 6th largest diaspora in the world. According to the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, approximately 8.8 million Pakistanis live abroad, with the vast majority, over 4.7 million, residing in the Middle East.
