KHYBER AGENCY: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) leadership in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) on Saturday urged for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Madrassas throughout the tribal agencies.

A delegation of the leaders, led by JUI-F FATA Ameer Mufti Abdul Shakoor Bitani called on JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazal ur Rahman in Islamabad. They claimed that dozens of religious madrassas and mosques were damaged in the recent operations against militants.

Maulana Abdur Rasheed, Member of National Assembly, Maulana Jamal ud Din Mehsud, Mauala Ghulam Sadiq, Maulana Umar Sadiq, Maulana Abdur Rahman, Wari Jehad Shah Afridi and others updated the party chief on the problems faced by the people of the tribal belt. “The Afghan refugees should not be treated badly without any reason and they should be sent back to their country with honour,” said a JUI-F leader from FATA.

The ulema also demanded urgent release of innocent people arrested by the security forces during the military operations in the tribal areas.

Maulana Fazal ur Rehman assured the delegation that he will raise all the points and demands with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in his upcoming meet.

He hoped that all issues would be resolved soon. He added that FATA people needed an active response for a speedy rehabilitation process. He informed the meeting that he will soon share news of a mega project for the affected people of FATA.
