Around the world, the coronavirus pandemic has killed more than 382,479 people and infected over 6,452,391. According to the latest data, 3,067,598 patients have recovered from the pandemic so far. The United States has been the hardest-hit country, with 1,881,205 cases and 108,059 deaths. Brazil now has the second-highest number of recorded infections in the world after the United States with 558,237cases and 31,309 fatalities with 1,262 deaths in a 24 hour period. Over 423,741 people have infected while 5,037 people died of the virus in Russia. The country has the third-highest number of recorded infections in the world. Spain has recorded 27,127 fatalities and 287,012 infections. United Kingdom has reported 39,369 fatalities and 277,985 infections. Italy, which recorded its first coronavirus death at the end of February, has 33,530 fatalities, while 233,515 infections. India has reported 207,191 cases while 5,829 deaths due to the coronavirus. The number of coronavirus infections in India has crossed 200,000, the health ministry said, and a peak could still be weeks away in the world’s second-most populous country. Cases jumped by 8,909 over the previous day in one of the highest single-day spikes, taking the tally to 207,615. The death toll from the disease stands at 5,815.
