The Entire world, including Pakistan, has been hit hard by global pandemic COVID-19, leaving populations devastated in many countries due to the extended lockdowns and ceased economic activities. The Inter-Governmental Institution for the use of Micro-algae Spirulina against Malnutrition (IIMSAM) a permanent member for the United Nations Economic and Social council has also step forward to help underprivileged people specially the laborers residing in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

In the holy month of Ramadan IIMSAM’s Goodwill Ambassador, Mrs. Raheela Khan comes forward to help people who are facing hunger and poverty. She was physically present at the Common Dispatch Points and has distributed packaged food to the needy in Islamabad & Rawalpindi. In the first 10 days of Ramzan, 500 daily meals were distributed whereas in the 2nd Ashra Ramadan 2020,it will be increased to 1000 meals daily. As of the 14th of May, 10,500 meals were distributed.

During the distribution process, proper protocols of social distancing were followed to prevent beneficiaries from the global pandemic Covid-19.

With the present situational crisis, which has affected every sector of our society on a standstill for now. Inner-Voice, along with our strategic-partner IIMSAM, we will continue the invaluable assistance of daily Iftar Meals for the 30 days during the holy month of Ramadan. I want to thank all our local logistics team who provided and will provide their invaluable support continuously as we are doing daily distribution since the 1st day of Ramzan which fall on April 24, 2020

“I want to thank all our 15 volunteers who provided and will provide their invaluable support continuously as we plan to do the weekly distribution.” “I want to also thank Secretary-General Maradona for his unrelentless support and our synergy of cooperation with Inner-Voice and my humanitarian portfolio under IIMSAM.”
