Open letter to Ajit Kumar Doval

Dear Ajit Kumar Doval. Congratulations for adding Gilgit-Baltistan, which happens to be my beautiful home, in your weather forecast on all media channels in India. I think this was the maximum you could do. Besides, I consider that you are much sensible to understand the extent people of Gilgit-Baltistan hate your country and your false claims on our home. I would also like to extend my felicitations to you for successfully killing the “exalted” idea of Indian secularism. Thanks to you that India is now exploding. With your expert advice, the government in India has successfully destroyed India’s image and reputation in the world. I believe that it was so prudent of you to purposefully engineer chaos in your country to influence elections. This violence actually worked to create an opportunity for BJP government in India to get tenure, in the name of religion and communal hatred. I am impressed that in a short time you have made India a sectarian battleground.

I know you must be thinking that why I should be so concerned about India. There would be many of cyber bullies from your country ready to open a barrage of abuses and irrational reasoning against me, but I deem it both reasonable and justified to talk about you and your country, since you have started to talk about Gilgit-Baltistan now. Bear with my straight comments without asking me to focus on our issues in Pakistan, which your country men frequently exaggerate rather propagate.

I actually wanted to address this column to The Prime Minister of India. Since you are considered instrumental in every step India is taking towards assured disaster, including the recent revocation of status of held Kashmir, thus I decided to write to you. Besides, the Prime Minister might not be able to comprehend what I want to convey, thus you may help him in this regard as well. I know both his capability and capacity to understand. That is why he needs you the most.

In today’s incredible India, essence of Hinduism has been lost and forgotten as the only Hindu dominant country begins to adopt, support and profess a false concept of Hindutva which has completely taken over the Indian society

Mr. Doval, you have done a great job for your country so far. You are good intelligence operator. From engaging with “Red Intifada” in north east to your focus on “Green Intifada” in Kashmir, you are thinking like a military guy, which for a better reason you are not. You know that Indian military operations in Kashmir as well as North Eastern states have been indiscriminate. You also know that these operations have further fueled the reactionary movements. You should understand that as National Security Advisor, now you are neither an IPS policeman nor an Intelligence Bureau spy. So you should learn to behave like a policy maker on strategic level while fully understanding the political dynamics of issues. I am not in a position to educate you or guide you about the requirements of your assignment, but I fail to understand that instead of giving political reformation a chance, which may alleviate the simmering discontent amongst the masses, you are encouraging use of brute force, shamelessly manifested through rifles, pellet guns and other coercive tactics against your own citizens. Believe me you are making it further difficult for them to become obedient to your state. You are ignoring the warnings enunciated in Vedas, which emphasize that violence in any form for any reason is supposed to beget violence. The law of Karma produces equal and similar reaction to any of the deed committed. This concept of Karma comes into play to deter persuasions for violence as elucidated in the Upanishads which you probably disregard as a modern Indian. You are set on a different course. Your focus as National Security Advisor of such a big country should have been entire world, but you seem too stuck in your internal security situations created and aggravated by none other than yourself. You are wasting lot of money on Indian lobbyists to activate Indian communities abroad to float a well-crafted narrative against Pakistan. You are dreaming about hurting Pakistan in Baluchistan. Infact, you are not stopping anywhere creating mutual hatred and distrust. How many times you need to be told that it is always better for India find a remedy instead of creating useless war hysteria against Pakistan. In today’s incredible India, essence of Hinduism has been lost and forgotten as the only Hindu dominant country begins to adopt, support and profess a false concept of Hindutva which has completely taken over the Indian society. Should I remind you that “INDIA IS NOT a nation, nor a COUNTRY. It is a subcontinent of nationalities” as said by Muhammad Ali Jinnah. I need not remind you that in the thousands of year’s old history of this sub-continent, this region you call a single country, has remained under a unified control for a very short time. Your staff will calculate exact years for you. In the circumstances you have created, it is completely unnatural for such a big country to stay together. I expect you to understand this more than anyone else that an insurgency can only be dealt when the local people are offered better alternatives, new avenues, acceptable options and abundant opportunities by the state. So try to focus on your issues and stop worrying about us in Gilgit-Baltistan. Soon, we are having our Gilgit-Baltistan assembly’s elections in the region and we will elect a new political government in the defacto province. Meanwhile you can focus on your restorative plans in Held Kashmir and reconsider your brutal plan against the Kashmiris and those in nearly thirty separatist regions. You should know that you do not have any option including a military one, to establish your claim on Gilgit-Baltistan. So just irritating us won’t serve you anything. Despite fiery statements and effervescent voices from your side, neither you nor your army can ignore Pakistan’s nuclear deterrence. Thanks to limited knowledge about the concept of tactical nukes on your side, it now seems practicable for majority of Indians that Pakistan would go any length to protect territorial integrity. You should believe the same.

Rest the weather here in Gilgit-Baltistan is superb. Mountains are still covered in snow and it is cherry and apricot season here. Cherries in Hunza and Nagar would be ready soon for harvesting. I would love to send some wonderful cherries to you one day on a Delhi bound flight provided you stop with your hate mongering and drop your illegal claim on my home. I will send a separate carton of Hunza Apricots for Wing Commander Abhi Nandan Varthaman. Best Wishes from Gilgit-baltistan.
