HANGU: Police arrested 70 suspects including 32 proclaimed offenders (POs) and recovered arms, ammunition and contraband from their possession during raids in various areas of the district, said an official press release issued on Sunday. The police conducted the raids in Lakhti Banda, Darwezai Palosa, Doaba, Thall and Balyameena. A huge cache of arms including nine Kalashnikovs, 11 rifles, 16 guns, 40 pistols, nine hand grenades, five daggers, 400 grams explosive, 5122 rounds, a rocket launcher and a rocket shell, 23 kilograms hashish and three bottles of liquor were recovered. Following the arrest, the suspects were shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
