NAUNDERO: The contractual employees of Sindh Zakat & Ushr Department held a large protest demonstration at Garhi Khuda Bux here on Sunday. They demanded regularization of their jobs.
They also staged a sit-in outside the Bhutto mausoleum chanting slogans in favor of their single demand. The demonstration was led by Muhammad Younis Bakari, Dur Muhammad Tanwari, Tariq Malik and others. While talking to media, they said that they are 830 employees who have been working for last 15 years on daily wages and contracts. They said that services of blue-eyed boys have been regularized but since they have no political backing they have always been ignored by the government. They urged PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to confirm their employment. They warned that if their just demand is not accepted they would march towards Chief Minister House and stage a sit-in there till the provision of justice to them.
