PESHAWAR: The chairman Peshawar Education Board Dr Shafi Afridi has said that assessment test of the grade five students at the province will judge the capacity building of the private and government schools at the province.
Talking to Daily Times here on Saturday he said that private school rejection of the procedure was illogical as it proves the performance level of the students and teachers and the pride of best performance will also be decided.
“The test of the class five is like the test of the government education institutes and private schools” he added.
Dr Afridi claimed that every steps of the Khyber Pakhtukhwa (KP) Government has claimed international recognition but the process of reforms have misunderstood by the private education institutes.
It is pertinent to mention here that KP government has term the assessment test mandatory and have called the concern boards that those who did abide the directive action will be taken against them.
However, the final decision over the controversial assessment test will be decide on Monday as the government has decided to take private schools owners and association on board before jumping into the decision.
A private school teacher Usman Ali told this scribe that new government doing nothing positive for the uniformity of the education sector but imposing new experiment at the province and the result of such initiative would be drastic.
He said that private schools association would decide the fate of the government decision of Monday and hopefully the assessment of the educational institutes would relinquish by the provincial government.
“The provincial government needs to give importance to the security of the educational institutes on priority base instead creating hurdles for the private sector he added.
The private schools owners and parents had threatened earlier that if the government did not reverse the decision the teachers, students and parents of the schools would hold protest in front of the provincial assembly.
