A case was registered against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law, Captain (r) Muhammad Safdar and 15 others on Thursday for assaulting police officials in the accountability court of Lahore. According to details, the case was lodged against 15 people including PML-N leaders Captain (r) Safdar and Jahanzeb Awan for being offensive with the constables of Lahore Police. On Wednesday, August 21, ahead of the PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and her cousin Yousuf Abbas appearance before the accountability court, strict security arrangements were made. PML-N workers clashed with police outside the court premises. PML-N leader arrested in Jhang Meanwhile, Former MPA of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Iftikhar Baloch was arrested on Thursday morning for using indecent language against police and political opponents. The politician was arrested by police from his residence in Jhang. Iftikhar Baloch had used abusive language against an MPA of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and District Police Officer (DPO) while sloganeering at a public gathering.
