As many as three outlaws were arrested from Karachi on Wednesday when Rangers and city police carried out two separate combing operations.
The operations were conducted in Korangi Industrial Area and Sohrab Goth areas of the metropolis.
According to details, the police also recovered arms from the custody of the three outlaws nabbed from Korangi industrial area.
Police sources claimed, “The arrested outlaws were involved in street crimes.”
Meanwhile, the police also took 14 suspects into custody through a joint operation. Another combing operation was launched in collaboration with Rangers, after being tipped off about the presence of suspects in Sohrab Goth.
The law enforcement personnel launched a house to house search in the area during the combing operation and arrested seven suspects.
Officials are checking personal details of the arrested suspects.
Earlier in September 2013, Rangers led an operation against terrorism, targeted killings, kidnapping for ransom, extortion and other crimes in Karachi. The operation successfully curbed these crimes while a semblance of peace was achieved in the metropolis.
After the success of the operation, the trend of killings, major incidents of terrorism and kidnapping for ransom went drastically down. Even attacks on policemen were successfully controlled to a large extent.
