ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar directed Federal Board of Revenue Chairman to prepare a comprehensive plan for the next Finance Bill in order to increase the direct collection of taxes.
The minister chaired a meeting of the Finance Division on Sunday, which FBR Chairman Nisar Mohammad Khan, briefed him on the different models adopted by countries around the world to mobilise revenue generation along with the necessary framework to be implemented.
The Finance Minister also directed the FBR to take all measures to facilitate voluntary tax payers and filers and to make clear distinctions between filers and non filers.
The FBR are scheduled to present their reviewed proposals in the next meeting which would be held soon.
