Lok Virsa screened Pakistani classical film ‘Sargam’ on Saturday at its media centre for the audience of twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Starring Adnan Sami and Zeba Bakhtiar, ‘Sargam’, directed by Syed Noor, is most remembered for its evergreen soundtrack featuring 10 songs in the voices of Adnan Sami; some of the songs also featured cross-over collaborations with Asha Bhosle. In addition to the lead pair, Nadeem Baig and Deeba Begum also star in the film. The film screening was an event to indulge in the nostalgia which the soundtrack brought from 1995. This was a free screening, open to public. The film got an enormous public acclaim and it also earned a handsome amount of business in the Middle East. Kuwait national TV also ran it in 1996 and it was also shown by PTV in 1996. It was a major successful hit of actress Zeba Bakhtiar.
