Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Jehangir Tareen on Sunday made telephonic contact with chief of Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) Akhtar Mengal. According to reports, the PTI leader assured the BNP-M chief that all of their reservations as a coalition partner will be removed. In response, the BNP-M chief has tasked a four-member committee comprising Senator Jahanzeb Jamaldini, Agha Hassan Baloch, Sana Baloch and Haji Lashkari to hold talks with the ruling party. The BNP-M chief will be in contact with Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Jehangir Tareen and Naeemul Haque to get the differences resolved. The PTI had formed an alliance with BNP-M after signing a six-point memorandum of understanding (MoU) on August 08 last year. However, cracks emerged in the alliance as BNP-M leader Sanaullah Baloch announced last week to review its alliance with the PTI citing zero support by the ruling party to its candidate in Senate by-elections. Sources said that during the telephonic conversation, Mengal asked Tareen that BNP-M was only seeking implementation of the six-point MoU signed between them.
