Oppression cannot defeat our patience: Barrister Murtaza Wahab

Published on: December 26, 2018 4:24 AM

Adviser to Sindh chief minister (CM) on Information Barrister Murtaza Wahab criticised the federal minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed for the statements he made during a press conference on Tuesday.

Barrister Wahab said that Shaikh Rashid had started supporting Imran Khan just to acquire the Railways Ministry. He said that Rasheed was so much obsessed with criticising the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) that he spoke against it while responding to a question regarding corruption of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) politician Jahangir Tareen.

“Sheikh Rashid cannot cover up the corruption done by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan by mincing words,” said the provincial advisor. Barrister Wahab said that recently Jahangir Tareen had procured a cricket team of PSL. He said that a joint investigation team (JIT) had been formed to track lunch bills paid by the PPP chair Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Murtaza Wahab while lambasting PTI leader Ali Zaidi said that he had certified his sham politics by acknowledging himself as a pupil of Shaikh Rashid. He said that unsubstantiated investigations were being conducted against the PPP since the last 50 years.” Our only offense was to be the voice of the people,” he added. He said that PPP co-chair Asif Ali Zardari remained imprisoned for over a decade despite being innocent. “Oppression cannot defeat our patience,” he asserted.
