The pound sterling remained firm against local currency as it initiated the day’s trading at Rs 174 for buying and closed at Rs 175 for selling after Re 1 paisas upward change and closed at Rs 175.20 for selling.. Kerb market: The dollar remained firm versus rupee, dealers said. It started the day’s trading at Rs 137 for buying and closed at Rs 137.25 for buying after gaining 25 paisas in value and stood at Rs 137.45 for selling. The euro stood firm in value by 25 paisas versus rupee as it started day’s trading at Rs 155 for buying, and it closed at Rs 155.25 for buying and at Rs 155.45 for selling. The pound remained flat against the rupee as it started the day’s trading at Rs 175 for buying, closed with no change in value for buying and closed at Rs 175.20 for selling.
