ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has said that annual grants will only be released to those national sports federations which have submitted their last year`s audited statements of accounts. A meeting of the National Sports Federations and Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) was held under the chairmanship of Khagan Babar, Director General, Pakistan Sports Board, here Friday regarding preparation and participation in the 13th South Asian Games (SAG), Kathmandu, Nepal from March 9 to 18, 2019. In the meeting, the house was apprised that annual grant would be released to the national sports federations on receipt of second quarter grant from the government. The PSB DG also formed a working group comprising Mansoor Ahmed Khan, DDG (Admin) as PSB/Convener and members including Muhammad Khalid Mahmood, Secretary General of POA, Muhammad Shafiq, President of Pakistan Handball Federation and Muhammad Azam Dar, DDG (Tech). The PSB DG also advised federations to submit their training plan to assess financial analysis of each road map in writing to the working group to evaluate and submit their recommendations to the board for the South Asian Games. The Working Group will prepare recommendations and present it to the PSB DG PSB by Nov 20 for submitting to the Secretary of Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) along with budget requirements.
