Sir: Whenever news of a person dying young makes the rounds, the audience is shocked. A young death disrupts the normal trajectory of life. Children are supposed to grow up and become their parents. Patents are supposed to grow older and die after they see their grandchildren So when we hear of a person dying before their time (in the crudest of sense) our sense of normalcy is shocked? But each young death brings with it lessons to be learnt and preventive measures to be taken. I am glad the article ‘If You Only Had 24 Years to Live’ was printed! An important issue was dealt in a careful and sensitive manner. HAJRA FAYYAZ Via Email Published in Daily Times, October 3rd 2018.
