The election for office bearers of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) for the year 2018-19 was held on Saturday. As per election results, Ahmed Hassan Mughal was elected president, Rafat Farid as senior vice president and Iftikhar Anwar Sethi as vice president of the ICCI. All the candidates were elected unopposed. They will formally take charge of their portfolios on October 1, 2018. Speaking at the occasion, the newly elected ICCI President Ahmed Hassan Mughal assured that he would focus on resolving key issues of the business community. He said the liaison with market unions and industrial areas would be further strengthened to address the problems of trade, adding that he would take traders and industrialists on board on important issues to raise consensus voice of business community for the attention of the policymakers.
