The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) and Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) have joined hands in securing the metropolis. The LCCI will act as PSCA ambassador as well while running awareness campaigns on traffic management and law and order situation. This was announced at PSCA headquarters during a joint session between PSCA top-command and a 13-member delegation of LCCI upper echelons. The LCCI delegation included President Malik Tahir Javed, Senior Vice President Khawaja Khawar Rasheed, Nasir Hameed, Tahir Manzoor and other senior officials. PSCA Managing Director Malik Ali Amir briefed the delegation on PSCA scopes and ambit. The integrated policing curbed down the police response time in the city, said the PSCA managing director. “We are playing an optimum part in restoring peace and intelligently managing traffic in the city,” he added. Every jawan of the force in possession of LTE handset is capable of real-time video footage relay to the centre from the scene, he apprised the astonished delegation. PSCA helped reduce the crime rate, said the LCCI president. “To witness this marvel of technology and prowess in Pakistan is a nice surprise,” LCCI senior vice president said. At this moment, chief operating officer Akbar Nasir Khan apprised the delegation about PSCA’s role as a mentor to law enforcing agencies in providing guidance and support. PSCA Chief Administration Officer Kamran Khan was also present during the session. The delegation was briefed about various arms and functions of the project dealing in 15 operations, police dispatch unit, video control unit, media monitoring unit and the PSCA insignia Cam-Surveillance Operations Management Centre.
