A five-member team of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) conducted a raid at National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) on Friday. During the raid, the bureau’s team examined records kept by NICVD’s administrations as well as the open door (OPD) blocks, according to sources. Reportedly, the records were examined at the hospital’s Human Resource (HR) department. Earlier this month, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar made surprise visits to three hospitals in Karachi, including NICVD. Omni Group Chairman Anwar Majeed’s son Abdul Ghani Majeed was admitted to the NICVD and his hospital room was examined by the CJP during his visit. Published in Daily Times, September 15th 2018.
