Staff Report

PM Nawaz to visit Sindh next month

Published on: February 12, 2017 11:00 PM

KARACHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit Sindh in March of this year in order to develop a stronger connection with the people of the province.

This was disclosed by the Provincial Senior Vice President of the Pakistan Muslim League, Syed Shah Mohammad Shah at his residence in Karachi on Sunday.

He was accompanied by the party’s Sindh and Karachi leadership including Senator Saleem Zia, Senator Nehal Hashmi, Shafi Mohammed Jhamot, Sorath Thebo, Javed Arsalan Khan, Tariq Chaudhry, Khalid Shaikh, Malik Chegaz and Adnan Qaimkhani.

Shah believed that there was a general impression that PML-N workers were beginning to leave the party, but he was certain that in the next general elections in 2018 people will witness many more candidates seeking PML-N tickets.

The Prime Minister will visit Sindh next month because the PML-N do not wish to leave the people of the province at the mercy of others, Shah added.

The Sindh Governor Mohammed Zubair belongs to Karachi and his father’s grave is also in the city, Shah also stated. “We are playing the role of the real opposition in Sindh and the Federal Government has not imposed any governor rule in the province despite bad governance and abuses being carried out by the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP),” he sserted.
