Families celebrate Eid by visiting recreation sites, beaches, cinemas

Published on: August 25, 2018 4:38 AM

A large number of families in Karachi celebrated three days of Eidul Azha by visiting recreation sites and beaches and the main ‘picnic spots’ in the metropolis remained thronged with families and children throughout the three Eid holidays.

Main excursion points included Sea View, Clifton, Hawksbay and Sands Pit, Zoological Garden, private owned recreational parks, Frere Hall, Alladin Park and Artillery Maidan. These recreational places were crowded with citizens on the second and third days of Eid particularly.

Two other spots, popular on the occasion were Dreamworld Karachi and Aladdin Park. A large number of citizens went to these two amusement parks to enjoy fun filled activities in a family friendly environment.

Movie lovers went to cinema halls to watch their favourite movies, on the occasion of Eidul Azha. A number of eating places in Karachi were also crowded with roadside food lovers. Do Darya was a popular spot, in this respect. Burns Road, one of the oldest market for street food also remained busy throughout the three day Eid.

Meanwhile, the law and order situation remained well managed and no untoward incident was reported during three days of Eid. Eid congregations were held at mosques, eidgahs and open places in all parts of city under strict security.

Several Sindh ministers visited Chief Minister (CM) House on Eid days to share their greetings with the newly elected Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah.
