Lot of rumours surfaced regarding the future of Messi with Argentina and there were many versions attached to it. So finally, Lionel Scaloni, the new Argenina coach, has broken his silence and talked about the matter.

Scaloni admitted that he is yet to talk to Messi and this was the reason why he was hesitant to comment about him.
Talking about the team he said “We don’t have the squad list made, not even a small percentage of it.”
When asked about Messi he said “I don’t think this is the time to call Lionel.”
“Once we have to name the squad, we will see what we do. I honestly, know him well and I’m not worried about having to talk to him.
“We want to treat him in a way that he truly knows that there is a respect there and we are most certainly going to treat him as he deserves This is the most important thing of all.”
Scalon and Aimar were selected as the new intern coaches to guide the team in their upcoming friendlies. Argentina have two friendlies in US next month against Guatemala and Colombia.
