Altaf Hussain and Nawaz Sharif are ‘anti-national’ elements: PPP leader

Published on: June 5, 2018 1:30 AM

KHAIRPUR: The former Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Member of National Assembly (MNA) Nawab Khan Wasan on Monday alleged that Nawaz Sharif and Altaf Hussain had attempted to incite a rebellion against the country and vowed to lodge a sedition case against them.

He addressed an iftar party held at Muhammad Bux Luhrani Village near Kumb sub-district of Khairpur district in Sindh province.

“India has suspended water supplies that were used for irrigation in Sindh,” he said while adding that there would be no compromise on core issues of Sindh province and pledged to protest against water crisis in Sindh at all available forums.

He criticised the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) over unannounced and frequent power outages in the scorching heat of summer. “A big Malakhira (Sindhi wrestling) match will be held between PPP and the Nawaz government in the upcoming general election,” he remarked while adding that PPP will sweep the polls with majority of the votes.

“PPP is solely based on democratic principles and the party has fought and strived to secure the rights of masses,” he said.

“The strength of Sindh is directly proportional to the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of Pakistan,” Wasan maintained.

He claimed that Nawaz Sharif political career has come to an end and people would reject Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

“Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would be the next Prime Minister of Pakistan,” he remarked while adding that PPP has a capability to resolve primary issues of the country including power and gas load shedding.

Rais Muhabat Khan Rajper, Tariq Aziz Ghaho, Rais Nisar Ali Chandio, Shahbaz Dino Bhatti, Choudhry Muhammad Yakoob Bhatti, Wadero Hatim Gopang, Wadero Bhooral Khan Baber, Ali Madad Mehrani, Saleem Raza Lund and a large number of people were present on the occasion.
