NAUDERO: Nine villagers lost their valuables on Saturday when a high-voltage electricity power line carrying 11,000 KV fell on their houses sparking a fire in Bahman Village of Ratodero Taluka in the district of Larkana.
Meanwhile, the affected villagers are sitting under the open sky in the scorching heat of summer. The villagers said that they had called the fire brigade multiple times, but the crews arrived to douse the flames when their houses were burnt to ashes. Mushtaq Shaikh, a villager, said that dowry of his daughter including golden ornaments, Rs 25,000 cash and other valuables were also burnt.
The poverty-stricken families appealed the government to assist them for reconstructing their houses and provide sufficient aid.
