Those uploading blasphemous material on social media are terrorists: Justice Shaukat Aziz

ISLAMABAD: Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui of Islamabad High Court (IHC) has remarked that those involved in uploading blasphemous content on social media are terrorists.

He made these remarks while announcing the orders in the case of uploading of blasphemous material on social media Tuesday.

He said, “If government cannot block such blasphemous pages then it should shut down PTA. If we need to close the entire social media on this count then we will do so.”

Justice Shaukat Aziz remarked, “I declare all those as terrorists who upload such blasphemous material on social media.”

The judge also inquired about the steps taken by the government on this matter. He added that this matter cannot be left to the bureaucracy.

 Justice Aziz while directing Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar to appear before the court in person today remarked that if government cannot block blasphemous pages on social media then it should close down PTA.
