Islamic Summit has to take concrete and practical steps on confronting challenges of Muslim Ummah. Stern action needs to be initiated against prevailing atrocities on oppressed Palestinians, said clerics and Ulema-Mashaykh while addressing Friday congregations all over Pakistan to mark Youm-e-Labbaik, Ya-Al-Aqsa. On call of Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC), Youm-e-Labbaik, Ya-Al-Aqsa was observed on Friday all over Pakistan to express solidarity with oppressed people of Palestine. Clerics and Ulemas-Mashaykh, while addressing the Friday congregation underlined that people of Pakistan are united and committed to support Palestinians and announced that Pakistan rejects relocation of US Embassy to Jerusalem. The clerics also stated that state and organisational terrorism has taken hostage of Islam and unity of Muslim Ummah is sole and ultimate panacea to eliminate the menace of terrorism and extremism from the Islamic world. On call of PUC, Youm-e-Labbaik, Ya-Al-Aqsa was observed all over the country. PUC Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, while addressing the Friday sermon at Jamia Masjid Al-Mustafa, Lahore stated that enemies of Islam and Muslims have heralded threats for Harmain Al-Sharifain and for Masjid-e-Al-Aqsa. He also urged on leadership of Muslim Ummah to take concrete and practical steps to rescue Palestinian Muslims against Israeli atrocities and onslaught. “India and Israel have been carrying out state terrorism while Daesh and other such terrorist organisations are carrying out organisational terrorism,” said Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi adding that unity of Muslim Ummah is need of the hour to contain the killers of innocent humanity. Ashrafi also announced to observe Ashra-e-Tahafuz-e-Harmain Al-Sharifain from Ramazan 20-30, to express solidarity for peace, security and sanctity of Harmain Al-Sharifain. PUC Vice Chairman Maulana Yub Safdar addressed the Friday congregation in Gujranwala, Maulana Abdul Karim Nadeem in Rahim Yar Khan, Maulana Abdul Haq Mujahid in Multan, Maulana Asadullah Farooq in Lahore, Maulana Saad Zikriya in Karachi, Maulana Abdul Hameed Wattoo in Qila Deedar Singh, Qazi Matillah Saeedi in Gujrat, Maulana Haq Nawaz in Faisalabad, Maulana Shafi Qasmi in Sahiwal, Maulana Asghar Khan in DG Khan, Maulana Khurshid Naumani in Bahawalnagar, Maulana Amjad Mehmood Muhawiya in Gujranwala, Sahibzada Hamza Tahir-ul-Hassan in Faisalabad, Maulana Shakeel Qasmi in Okara, Maulana Aziz Ullah Qasmi in Rajanpur and Maulana Azam Farooqi in Karachi.
