Judiciary should not interfere in political matters: Bilawal

Published on: April 1, 2018 3:52 PM

HYDERABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday said that the judiciary should do its job and let politicians do theirs.

“Judiciary activism should be minimum. The judiciary should fulfill its responsibilities and let politicians do their job. If the politicians are failing, it is the public who would decide their fate,” Bilawal said while speaking to the media in Hyderabad.

Turning his guns towards Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Bilawal said that the premier should take his words back against Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani.

“PML-N candidate Zafaul Haq lost not because of horse trading, but because PML-N senators were not in favour of the candidate. The PM should take his words back,” Bilawal said.

Continuing his tirade against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Bilawal said that the ruling party has always tried to weaken the institutions and that PML-N wants a way out of the Panama case.

He added that the scope for visionary politics is diminishing in the country, adding that former PM Nawaz Sharif ‘was never a visionary leader and never will be’.
