ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Friday said that terrorism in the region had adversely affected Pakistan and cooperation with the US was of great importance for tackling terrorist activities. Talking to Eisenhower Fellowship President George D Lama, Mamnoon Hussain said that services of Eisenhower Fellowship programme were highly important for the progression of the human resources. The experts being trained at the institution are rendering invaluable services for the humanity, he added. On the occasion, Eisenhower Fellowship President George D Lama said that his Pakistan tour had been pleasant. The chief operating officer of the Indus Hospital Karachi, Abdul Bari Khan, and fellows of Eisenhower programme in Pakistan were also present on the occasion. Lama said that the programme was playing an important role in grooming experts in various disciplines. Meanwhile, outgoing Air Chief Marshall Sohail Aman had a farewell meeting with the President at the President House. The president said that Pakistan Air Force had achieved milestones in his tenure and that his services would always be remembered.
