KARACHI: The US dollar remained flat against the rupee in interbank market because demand by importers remained insignificant. The greenback closed at Rs 110.30 for buying and Rs 110.50 for selling, with no change. The rupee remained firm because of low demand by corporate sector for its import payments. Banks are busy to meet their demand, which keeps value of rupee firm. The euro closed at Rs 135.58 for buying and Rs 135.78 for selling, gaining 20 paisas. The pound sterling closed at Rs 152.16 for buying and Rs 152.36 for selling. It increased by 15 paisas. Kerb market: The dollar closed flat in the open currency market. The US currency closed at Rs 111.85 for buying and Rs 112.05 for selling with no change. Earlier in the day it was trading at Rs 111.86 for buying and Rs 112.06 for selling. The pound sterling closed at Rs 153.20 for buying and Rs 153.40 for selling, with 18 paisas upward change from previous session’s level.
