This is how your favourite Pakistani celebrities plan on spending Valentine’s Day

Published on: February 14, 2018 12:42 AM

A couple of days ago, it was ascertained. Valentine’s Day was banned in the country by the government.

However, if the day is about taking special time out for your friends, family and your loved ones, spending the day with them, buying those gifts or flowers, and expressing your love towards them, then yes, it should be celebrated in full fervour.

Some of our most favourite celebrities talked exclusively to Daily Times, about how they would love to spend their day.

“I have planned my Valentine’s Day to spend with my parents and also will go to visit an old-age home and special children. My mother will be my Valentine this year as always as she is someone who I love the most,” theatre actress-turned-top model Humera Asghar Ali told me.

Comedienne Hina Dilpazir of ‘Bulbulay’ fame told me, “I am still looking for my Valentine, but there is no sign of him.” Quite a funny lady, she is no? We hope she finds her Mr Right sooner than soon.

“A quite day with my Valentine for the past three decades is how I plan to spend my day. My husband Raheal! Maybe we will have dinner together, talk, laugh and enjoy the familiar feeling of being loved,” veteran actress Simi Raheal told me.

I also reached out to the very glamorous actress Sana Fakhar, and asked her who her Valentine is this year and how she plans on spending today (Wednesday). “Me and my husband don’t need a Valentine’s Day to spend together or share the feeling of love. Every day is Valentine’s Day if we are together. I would say people should celebrate this day. But be careful ladies, as Pakistani men don’t know the difference between love and lust. But anyway, Happy Valentine’s Day to all the lovely people. Spread love as much as you can.”

Sana Fakhar really gave us something to ponder upon, no?

At the same time, our very beloved Meera Ji, also reached out to me and had these wonderful thoughts to share, “Naveed is my Valentine. He is someone who takes care of me and really puts in an effort to make me happy. Every woman needs a man like that; someone who understands her, tries to make her happy and also gives her an allowance even if she is earning a lot.”

Junaid Khan of Call fame said, “This year, my Valentine’s Day will be spent with my ultimate love that I have in my life and that is my music. Me and my band Call are shooting our next music video and we are really excited about it. So I’m going to be spending the whole day and the whole night with my eternal love that is my music.”

‘Punjab Nahi Jaungi’ star Humayun Saeed revealed who is Valentine is to me. “My Valentine is my wife. We will go to a dinner. I’ll buy her a gift or something. I am in Islamabad right now. I’ll be reaching Karachi tomorrow and take her out for a dinner.”

“My two Valentines this year are my sons Hamza and Hassan. They really are the loves of my life. I’m going to spend the evening cuddling with my boys that is my husband and my two sons; just relaxing and being together. Every day is Valentine’s Day when you’re in a happy marriage,” morning show host Juggun Kazim told me.

Who can forget our very own star Imran Abbas on such a loveable day? He shared his plans, saying, “This year, my sister and my niece are visiting me from the US and I absolutely love my niece. My whole family is my Valentine this year. I plan on celebrating with my extremely loved ones and I am so grateful to have a full house and spend this precious time with them.”

“My Valentine is my mother. On a day dedicated to love, who better to spend it with than the one person in the world that gives you unconditional love,” leading designer, choreographer and talk show host Hassan Sheheryar Yasin told me.

So dear readers, this is how our favourite celebrities from the fields of acting, music, hosting and fashion plan on spending their Valentine’s Day. What about you?
