KARACHI: A meeting conducted on Saturday by Additional Inspector General (AIG) Aftab Pathan concluded without any substantial progress in regards to the arrest of absconding official Rao Anwar and his accomplices. The meeting decided to continue raids in a bid to locate the suspects. Anwar is wanted by the authorities in connection with the extrajudicial murder of Naqeebullah Mehsud, who, along with three others, were killed on January 13 by a team led by the fugitive police official in what the later maintained was an ‘exchange of fire’ in Karachi’s Shah Latif Town. Reports compiled by teams sent to Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) came under review in the meeting.
