KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) chief Dr Farooq Sattar has strongly condemned an anti-Karachi campaign which has reportedly been launched in the United States and said that they would not allow any conspiracy against the nation to succeed. Addressing a press conference at party’s headquarter on Tuesday, Sattar said the convener of the MQM’s rival faction, Nadeem Nusrat, is running the anti-Karachi campaign in the US. “We will not let him succeed in any conspiracy against the nation.” Sattar said that MQM-Pakistan would continue to raise its voice to safeguard its rights through peaceful means. “The people of Karachi, to get their rights, will use peaceful means, and indulge in politics of the federation.” He added that no one could stop the flight of MQM-P, while they would continue to struggle to thwart any conspiracy against Karachi and the country. He strongly condemned the alleged extra-judicial killing of Naqeebullah Mehsud in Karachi and said that police must be purged of such officers. Published in Daily Times, January 24th 2018.
