LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Jiyalas (party workers) left Lahore for Garhi Khuda Bakhsh to participate in the 10th death anniversary of late prime minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto, which is being observed today (Wednesday). PPP Punjab leadership has flown to participate in death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto in PIA’s Lahore-Islamabad-Sakhar Flight PK594. Leader of Opposition in Senate Aitzaz Ahsan, senior leader Manzoor Ahmed Watto, Faisal Mir, Samina Khalid Gurki, Haji Azizur Rehman Chan, Haider Zaman Qureshi, Hassan Murtaza along with other PPP leaders and office bearers were contained in the caravan. The caravan of PPP’s Jiyalas has also moved for Garhi Khuda Bakhsh via Quetta express train. They were raised slogans and carried placards in their hands on which different slogans were inscribed in favour of PPP and martyr Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. They were also placed banners of PPP on train bogies (box). Benazir Bhutto was martyred in a Liaqatbad incident after coming back to attend the public gathering at Laiquat Bagh in Rawalpindi, 27th December, 2007. Published in Daily Times, December 27th 2017.
