Sir: Recently I was feeling unwell and had to visit the Turbat Civil Hospital. I reached the hospital on motorbike with a friend, but we were stopped by the police outside the hospital gate.
Apparently new buildings were being constructed on the hospital premises and we couldn’t park our motorbike inside. We complied with the police’s order and went inside for our appointment.
When we came back outside I went to the police personnel and asked them about our motorcycle. They replied very rudely and aggressively, saying that it wasn’t their job to look after my motorcycle. If it isn’t the job of the police to protect the people’s property from theft then whose job is it?
I complied with the police’s request without any argument but they spoke to me extremely rudely just for asking a question. This attitude isn’t right. The concerned authorities should set standards for police-civilian interactions and make sure police officials are nor unnecessarily disrespectful to civilians.
